カルロス•サンドバルの作品はグローバル化の影響で起きた宗教や文化的なショックを探究しています。『サン•パスクアル』の作品はexvotoというメキシコの伝統的な奉納絵を再創造しています。現代社会的ニーズを含めて、カルロス•サンドバルは伝統的な奉納絵の構造をすすんで、同時代や伝統を対比しています。

Carlos Sandoval's artworks explore religion and cultural shocks caused by globalization. With "San Pascual", Carlos recreates an “exvoto” (a votive offering to a saint given as a gesture of gratitude in fulfillment of a vow). The painting follows the formal characteristics of this typical Mexican art, but adding a contemporary superficial need that contrasts with the thanks that used to appear in the traditional ones.
